BENEFITS OF THE GREEN COFFEE BEAN

The green coffee bean is roasted to produce our daily latte. The roasting process changes the flavor, aroma, and color of the bean. It also changes the chemical structure and nutritional concentrates of the coffee bean. This means that the health benefits of roasted coffee and green coffee are quite different. FIRST contains caffeine from green coffee beans, and for good reason. Quickly read why!

What is green coffee bean extract?

In particular, caffeine and chlorogenic acid are responsible for the health benefits of the green coffee bean. Chlorogenic acid is an antioxidant that stimulates fat burning, lowers blood pressure, and is anti-inflammatory. In addition, antioxidants help the immune system to protect tissues and DNA from aggressive substances that can cause damage. In other words, chlorogenic acid is good for you. And, surprise, there is more chlorogenic acid in green coffee beans than in the well-known roasted variety (chlorogenic acid is lost during the roasting process). The body absorbs and metabolizes chlorogenic acid quickly, making it easy for your body to enjoy its abundant health benefits.

So, what are the health benefits of the green coffee bean?

  1. It helps with weight loss

Research shows that chlorogenic acid helps the body burn glucose and stored body fat, reduce carbohydrate intake (it lowers blood sugar and insulin spikes) and improve your cholesterol. Green coffee beans can therefore help you lose weight.

In a study, a group of 30 overweight individuals was split. One group consumed an extract of green coffee beans and the other group drank regular instant coffee. After a 12-week test, the group that consumed the green coffee bean extract had lost an average of 5.4 kg and 3.6% body fat. The group that consumed regular instant coffee lost an average of 1.7 kg and only 0.7% body fat. That's a big difference!

In addition, several studies have shown that caffeine helps boost metabolism by up to 11%, which makes losing weight easier. Another study published in the Journal of Physiology and Behavior, found that the metabolism of people who drank coffee was on average 16% higher compared to those who drank decaffeinated coffee.

  1. It normalizes blood sugar

Green coffee bean extract helps to reduce inflammation, which has a positive effect on blood sugar levels. In addition, green coffee bean help to reduce fat accumulation and insulin resistance and can even reduce glucose absorption in obese people. The green coffee bean's ability to help normalize or lower high blood sugar may in turn lower the risk of type-2 diabetes.

  1. It has anti-aging properties

Green coffee bean extract has many antioxidant properties, several of which have been proven to prevent aging. The high concentration of chlorogenic acid in green coffee bean extract reduces skin redness (a result of overexposure to sunlight). In addition, caffeine also contains anti-aging properties. It reduces skin roughness, the formation of wrinkles and softens crow's feet. No wonder dermatologists include green coffee bean extract in their products!

  1. It helps prevent disease

Green coffee beans are packed with antioxidants that help fight harmful free radicals in the body. Free radicals are unstable molecules that attack important molecules such as lipids and proteins. These free radicals can damage DNA, for example, causing health problems. A 2004 study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry concluded that chlorogenic acid antioxidants can prevent the multiplication of four types of cancer cells, suggesting that extract from green coffee beans may even help prevent cancer.

  1. It improves energy balance, focus and mood

The American Psychological Association has concluded that caffeine has positive effects on psychomotor and cognitive performance, psychological health, blood pressure and athletic performance. Other studies also conclude that caffeine can improve attention, alertness, motivation and reaction times.

So put the coffee aside and opt for green coffee beans! How?
The caffeine in FIRST comes from unroasted green coffee beans.

Echt super !

Hallo,
Ik vraag me af of je last kan krijgen van slapeloosheid.
Er wordt bij ‘gewone’ cafeïne vaak gezegd dat je het na een bepaald tijdstip niet meer moet innemen ivm met slaapproblemen die kunnen optreden.

Vriendelijke groet,
